Karen Irene Weelborg of Blair was born on April 18, 1949, in Humphrey to Lysle and Irene (Hallgren) Barnes. Karen passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 74.

Karen enjoyed reading, cooking, family gatherings, especially around the holidays, and spending time with the grandkids.

Karen is survived by her daughters: Tamera Quick (Josh), Toni Ayodele (Temitope) and Tanya Wise (Richard), her sons: Tobias Weelborg, Terrance Weelborg (Loretta) and Tracy Weelborg (Heather), brother Gale Barnes (Deanna), several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Francis James Weelborg, parents Lysle and Irene Barnes, brother Tom Barnes and sister-inlaw Linda Barnes.

Visitation was held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Nelson’s Green Forest Chapel. Graveside service was held Friday, March 15, 2024, at Alpena Cemetery with Pastor Mike Bishop officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Alpena Medthodist Church, 207 West Hill Street, Alpena, AR 72611.
