On October 28, 2024, Albion’s local Girl Scout Troop helped in their group effort to support the planting of 5,000,000 trees in North America. Their Scout leaders requested professional help in this endeavor and had Tunink Roots help the scouts in planting the tree as well as learn about the specimen.

Spicy venison chili will join the mild beef variety, plus vegetable beef, chicken noodle and cheeseburger at the annual Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church’s soup supper on Sunday, Nov. 3.

This year’s 2024 Color Day court were crowned last Saturday, October 19 at the commencement festivities. Thomas Roberts, son of Susan and Andy Roberts, was crowned king during the 2024 ceremony at Boone Central’s Color Day.
