More than 200 students and their instructors gathered at Boone Central on January 12 for the 2026 Choral Clinic in Albion. The event was celebrating it’s 80th anniversary this year, with origins of the event tracing back to 1944.

Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has announced that Keri Carraher, RN, Home Health Director, has been elected as a Director at Large on the Nebraska Home Care Association (NHCA) Board of Directors. Carraher, who earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) and her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), has dedicated 20 years to BCHC.

Eighth graders in Mrs. Dawna Nelson’s language class authored children’s books that they customized and wrote for second graders at Boone Central.

The Cardinal Speech team had a fantastic day winning the varsity sweepstakes over a very tough field at the 2026 Boone Central Speech Invitational. The novice squad was also runners up.
