Cornhusker Power visits with 5th graders

This fall, Boone Central School, and St. Edward School fifth graders learned about electrical safety from Cornhusker Public Power District representatives. The schools were among the eighteen schools and 470 students in Cornhusker Public Power District’s six-county service area to experience the program.

Loss walk attended by around 70 on Oct. 1

Boone County Health Center hosted its first annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Walk, “ Remembering Every Step,” on Tuesday, October 1st at Fuller Park. The event, held in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, drew approximately 70 participants including families, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends who came together in remembrance and support.

Temme pulls at Nationals in Mitchell

Kanon Temme, son of Jordan and Samantha Temme, got first at the Boone County Fair and went to Grand Island to compete at the State Fair. He ended up getting 1st place in the State Pedal Pull Competition in the 8 year old division! His family took him to pull at Nationals in Mitchell, S.D.
