Approximately every 10 years, the state of Nebraska advises that rescue squads work towards upgrading their current ambulances to a more modern model. The Newman Grove Rescue squad is presently in the 13th year of operation with the community’s existing ambulance.

Albion’s Post #162 Seniors picked up two stiff games in the last week, waiting for the Class C Area tournaments to begin in another week. Albion played Pierce’s Seniors, falling 13-4, and then took on David City Post #125 at home on Monday, July 21, falling 15-7 in a game that was very closely played but separated with some errors.

The Kelly’s Fastpitch 16U-18U girls softball team won their Class C state competition bracket recently. Two Albion young women were part of the team, Averie Luettel and Ava Buhlmann.
