The popcorn wagon in Newman Grove history goes back to the era of World War II. Harold and Aris Johnson and family, Dennis and Linda, owned and operated the popcorn wagon, in Newman Grove, during the 1940’s to the 70’s.

From the Class of 1950, the oldest atending Newman Grove Bluejay Alumni was Merle Nelsen. .

Since last report, the Albion Post #162 boys’ Junior Legion baseball team picked up two more wins – one over Ord and one over O’Neill. The team hosted the Tri-County Titans (Orchard, Verdigre, etc) on Tuesday, June 10, and will play against Plainview on Friday, June 13 at home.
