The Albion Library’s Junior Stem kids have been making good use of the two newest items purchased with a grant from Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation. .

Nicholas Groeteke was named Champion Market Steer and Overall Champion Market Beef at the Boone County Junior Leaders “Beef-A-Rama” that was held over Memorial Day weekend at the Albion fairgrounds.

Petersburg American Legion Commander Hank Thieman welcomed a very large crowd to the 2025th Memorial Day program noting this is usually held at the Veteran’s Memorial along Highway 14 but weather conditions necessitated that it be moved inside the Legion Club.

Another track season is in the books for the Boone Central Cardinals. The Cards spent the weekend in Omaha competing at the Nebraska Class C State Championships and represented the school and its communities well.
