Everyone needs someone to talk to – and thanks to a group of Albion professionals, that help just got a bit easier to find. Albion alum, Brittany (Korth) Childress, knew while finishing her high school career as a Cardinal that she was interested in mental health, and said she started that path in her first year of college.

Cloverlodge nurses Kristen Lawrence, LPN (left) and Sandy Johnson, RN were recently presented with the Dignity in Action Award at the Vetter Senior Living home office in Omaha. Kristen and Sandy and their guests were treated to a meal and the two were presented with commemorative plaques.

Boone Central Middle School held its third annual middle school speech meet, the Cardinal Call Out, on Friday, April 4th. Six teams attended the tournament with over 90 total entries.

The Cardinal Speech team traveled to Kearney last weekend, picking up a fourth-place sweepstakes finish, a State Champion and a number of individual medalists. Katelyn Curry picked up a State Championship for the Cardinals, Jordan Patzel won third in Poetry, Makenna Devine won sixth in the Entertainment category; and the OID team of Katelyn Curry, Brittany Sup, Eloise Martinez, Edwin Naranjo and Sydney Spangler took sixth overall.
