Ramona J. Stroh
Ramona Stroh, age 95, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024.
Ramona June Carter was born June 1, 1928 in St. Edward. Ramona graduated from St. Edward High School on May 17, 1946. She was active in school activities and was proud to be on the drill team. Shortly after, she moved to Lincoln to work at the State Capitol and then worked at the Coca Cola bottling Company.
Lincoln is where she met her husband of more than 70 years, Don Stroh. They were married on May 28, 1950. They moved to Palmer and left after five years and two sons: Doug and Dennis. Don’s job opportunity moved them to Millard which later became part of Omaha. Soon after, Kent was born and were very busy with three sons and working. Don and Mona were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millard. After living many happy years in retirement in Omaha, they moved to Sun City, AZ in 2010 to be closer to family and had many friends there as well. They always kept in touch with their lifelong friends and family in Nebraska where their heart was always. Don passed away in 2021 at the age of 94.
She is survived by her brother Keith (Betty) Carter of St. Edward, three sons: Doug (Isabel) of Prescott, AZ, Dennis (Aida) of Las Vegas, NV and Kent (Belen) of Peoria, AZ, grandchildren: Nathan of San Francisco, CA, Dr. Aaron (Lori) of Phoenix, AZ, Shawn of Surprise, AZ, Alexa of Washington, DC and Dr. Adam Stroh of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, Donald Stroh, her parents, Robert and Lillian Carter and brother Robert Carter.
A Memorial Service for both Don and Mona will be determined at a later date.
