Loup Power District officials recently delivered lease payments totaling more than $1.6 million to area communities.

The payments compensate the towns for the use of those systems for the first quarter of 2024. Boone County area towns receiving the payments were:

• Albion — $59,154.01

• Belgrade — $4,048.26

• Cedar Rapids — $20,803.35

• Primrose — $1,817.89

• Petersburg — $11,160.73

• St. Edward — $21,58…
