On May 1, severe lightning struck a tree in front of the Kathy Koch (center right holding broom) home. The 28-year-old tree which sat close to the house was completely split with the strike bright enough to light up some of the neighboring homes. The tree was removed by Doug Koch and Clint Baumgartner using a payloader. The remaining debris was cleared away by family members....
