Boone County Health Center held a tailgating event last week on Wednesday to celebrate their recent national awards and achievements and to sharea meal with community members. Organizers estimated that the center served and visited with around 375 folks that came to participate in the event.

Above and below: a few pictures from the Freedom Walk held on Sunday, Sept 15 at Fuller Park in remembrance of Patriots Day Sept 11. The Honor Guard led the walkers to the Good Samaritan Home where they stopped to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem. The group proceeded to the Good Samaritan Estates where they stopped to say the Pledge of Allegiance with the residents and sing “God Bless America.” The Honor Guard led the group back to the park where the Sons of the Legion had a meal waiting for the walkers. Produce and products of all kinds will be featured at a downtown farmers market in Albion on Saturday, Sept. 7.
