The Boone Central girls’ basketball team ended the regular season last week with a win and loss. The Cardinals hosted the Centura Centurions (11-10) on Feb 11th and played a tight game all the way to the buzzer, coming away with the narrow victory.

The Boone Central boys’ basketball team was back in action last week following the incredible run through the Mid-State Conference Tournament. The Cardinals hosted the Centura Centurions (9-10) on Tuesday Feb 11th.

The Boone Central boys’wrestling team began the trip toward the District tournament this last week with duals against Scotus and Columbus Lakeview. The Cardinals will travel to Malcom this weekend, Feb.

Since last report, the Lady Panthers of Newman Grove/St. Edward played four games, picking up four losses, with just two games left in the regular season of play.

The Newman Grove-St. Edward Panthers boys’ basketball team hosted Archangels Catholic and traveled to Riverside and Cedar Bluffs for games, with four games left in the regular season.

The Lady Cardinals earned some time to rest last week after a gauntlet of a week the week before. Following their win against Ponca in the opening round of the Mid State Conference tournament, the Cards fell to the C2 #3 Crofton Warriors in the second round last Monday.

Preston Trollope bowled his way through districts to an individual qualifying spot at the 2025 NSAA state bowling tournament last week. Trollope traveled to Lincoln’s Sun Valley Lanes to join the field of 29 other bowlers in the head-to-head competition over four games.

The Boone Central Cardinals boys’ basketball team was on a tear heading into the conference tournament and they didn’t let up as they burned through the competition and took home the championship trophy for the first time in over a decade.

Fresh off a three-game week, the Lady Cardinals of Boone Central (7-9) pulled another busy three-game week. This time it was three nights in a row.
