On Monday January 27th, the junior high boys’ basketball team hosted the Nebraska Christian Eagles in Newman Grove, and the Panthers picked up a win, 30-25. The whole game was a tight affair with multiple lead changes.

The Newman Grove/St.Edward Panthers traveled to Central Valley in Greeley last week on Jan. 20, falling in the contest to the home team, 54-36.

In a heart-wrenching game that saw momentum swing back and forth, the Lady Panthers couldn’t quite close the gap in a tough loss to the Elba Bluejays, falling 38-36. It was a hard fought battle on the road that found the Lady Panthers with a slow start and some critical late game moments that could have changed the outcome.

Newman Grove/St. Edward Panther boys’ basketball team has started its season with a few heartbreak games, a 0-3 record not totally telling the entire story about the team’s efforts.
