On Thursday, October 16 the Panther Cross Country team headed to Ainsworth for the District D3 meet held at the Ainsworth Golf Course. The weather threatened to postpone the races but they managed to sneak in both races between storms.
The Panther Cross Country team traveled to Atkinson for the meet on Thursday, October 2nd. It was a hot day where junior high ran approximately 1 mile.
The Panther football team traveled to Twin River high for a close game as the team’s season begins to wind down, picking up a loss, 36-28. In a near identical score to the game the previous week, the Newman Grove-St.
The Newman Grove/St. Edward Lady Panther volleyball team has continued rolling through the season, posting a 9-5 record as of their last game on September 18.
Parishioners at St. Edward Catholic Church held a parish supper on Sept. 14, celebrating their church, it’s 25 year anniversary of their new building, and a time capsule that was buried 112 years ago.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Rural Fire Board, as well as a number of private donations, the St. Edward Volunteer Fire Department has added a new fire truck to aid in the firefighting efforts.
