Members of Albion Fire & Rescue spent an extended weekend attending trainings in Sioux City and in Kearney, March 8-10. Nine members (above) attended the Nebraska Emergency Medical Services Association Super Conference in Kearney. Classes included Triage, Farm Trauma, Extremity Trauma, OB Emergencies, Pediatric Trauma, Emergency Planning for Medically Complex Children, Airway Management, Drowning, EMS Protocol, Cardiac Arrest, Building a Peer Support Program, Stroke Assessment, Crush Injuries, Remote Medicine, Energy Drink Effects and Geriatric Polypharmacy. Those attending the Kearney training (l.-r.) were Jessica O’Brien, Bruce Benne, Rachel Tisthammer, Kyle Larson, Whitney Paulson, Matt Childress, Jen Molt, Clay Thompson and Sheila Grape. Six members, Mitch Hardwick, Bryan Hohnholt, Andrea Krohn, Greg Krohn, David Lueken and Issac Reeder attended the Northwest Iowa Regional Fire School in Sioux City, IA, taking courses that included Introduction to Fire Fighting, New Vehicle Technology, Human Trafficking Awareness for First Responders and Training Officer education courses.
