Softball team to play Aquinas in first round

The Boone Central Lady Cardinals Softball team rounded out their regular season in good fashion with a 15-11 win over Ponca at home, and headed into the District tournament on Monday, Oct. 6.
Lady Cardinals improve to 12-10

The Boone Central Lady Cardinals went 2-1 this past week with wins over Ord and Elgin Public/Pope John (EPPJ) to improve their regularseason record to 12-10. Most recently, the Lady Cardinals stayed home to host a triangular with the EPPJ Wolfpack and Battle Creek Bravettes on Thursday, Oct.
Cardinals Tough It Out Against Pierce

The Boone Central Middle School Cardinals hosted the Pierce Bluejays last Tuesday with two depleted rosters dealing with injuries and illness. The seventh graders got things started and traded blows with the Bluejays.

Harriers run at Atkinson

The Boone Central Cross Country teams traveled northwest to Atkinson last week to participate in the big West Holt Invitational. This meet featured many of the top rated Class D teams, thus using Class D scoring (the top 3 runners are scored instead of the top 4).
Cardinals Edge Out Centurions

Fresh into a winning record, the Boone Central Cardinals took the show on the road last week as they visited the Centurions of Centura (2-3). The Centurions started out their season similar to the Cardinals with losses in their opening two to solid teams in Wood River and Doniphan Trumbull before two wins brought them back to even.

Lady Cardinals qualify for State tournament next week

A blustery but bountiful day for the Girls Golf Team at the NSAA C-2 District Championships at Quail Run. The Cards fired at team score of 400 finishing them in the Runner Up spot, which qualified them for the State Championships next week in North Platte.
