Lady Cards update record to 6-4 over week

Boone Central (6-4) faced some stiff competition on the court this week with a home match against Crofton (7-1) on Tuesday followed by the Stanton Triangular against Norfolk Catholic (8-2) and Stanton (5-3) on Thursday and finally the Central City Invite on Saturday against Centennial (5-9), Wood River (6-8), and Adams Central (5-4).

Dinged up Cardinals downed at home

Last week’s bout with the Knights left the Cardinals more than a bit banged up.And with perennial stalwart Battle Creek coming to town, there was no time to nurse the wounds. The Braves came out looking to play Battle Creek football and simply overpower the Cardinals, and the BC defense held strong on the first drive stopping the Braves after a modestly successful drive.

Traditionally, moving from the competitive Boone Central Cross Country Invitational with competition from all four NSAA classes to the Norfolk Catholic Invitational on the tough Skyview Lake course is a rewarding experience for young Boone Central cross country runners.

Girls golf competes at Lakeview Invite

The Boone Central Girls Golf Team most recently competed at the Lakeview Invite on Thursday, September 12 at Quail Run Golf Course. The Cardinal team finished in 7th place with a 476.
