BC boys just short in Mid-State tourney

The Boone Central Cardinals were on the brink this weekend, but could not quite span the threshold and claim the 2024 Mid-State Conference boys basketball championship. Boone Central opened the ‘24 tourney by thrashing Crofton and advanced to the title game with a clutch win over Class C2 #6 ranked Hartington Cedar Catholic.

Tough foes derail Boone girls in Mid-State event

The Lady Cardinals basketball team headed to West Point for the Mid-State Conference Tournament Jan. 29, faciing all-too-familiar foe Battle Creek. The Bravettes had bested Boone Central just a few nights earlier. Boone battled hard, but Battle Creek simply proved too tough, defeating the Cards 35-21.

Boone Central’s middle school boys squared off against tough opponents Battle Creek and Lakeview this past week. The A team continued its hot start, picking up two wins, while the B team continued to fight for its first victory.
