Boone Central bowlers wrap regular season with wins

The Boone Central boys bowling team headed to Columbus to face the Class A #1 Discoverers Jan. 22. The Cards kept it close but ultimately fell short, losing the two regular games (647-701, 694-736). The boys were able to claim victory in the Baker game to make the final score 12-9. Preston Trollope led the team with a high of 184. Colton Wissenberg was close behind with a high of 161, followed by Clay Sandman with a 140.

Hudson, Roberts lead Cardinal wrestlers in Bill Foster Invite

Although shorthanded Boone Central did not challenge for the team championship, Cardinal Coach Josh Majerus was pleased with the efforts by his wrestlers in the Gibbon Bill Foster Invite. Boone finished fifth in the team standings, led by champions Hank Hudson (215) and Thomas Roberts, runner-up Gavin Mauch (120), and medalists Daron Dozler (144, 3rd) and Landon Winter (113, 4th).

After multiple weather delays and reschedules, basketball was finally back on the court for Boone Central’s middle school teams. Tipping off the 2024 season, the Cardinal middle school A team was victorious in a dominating 54-25 win against the Pierce Bluejays on Monday, Jan.

Card JV boosts mark to 11-2

Boone Central’s junior varsity boys lifted their season record to 11-2 with a pair of hard-fought victories this past week. The JV Cards opened their week Tuesday edging host Guardian Angels Central Catholic 53-49.

The program is designed to provide 5- to 7-year-olds a variety of educational and recreational experiences in a non-competitive environment. 4-H Clover Kids provides an excellent opportunity for youth to achieve their highest potential because early life experiences affect future development.
