Make it four district titles in a row for the Boone Central High School speech team. The Cardinals collected another sweepstakes championship at the C1-5 District Tournament Monday, March 11, at Atkinson West Holt.

Boone Central varsity speech team collected the sweepstakes win in their final regular season meet at Pierce last Saturday, but it was a “nail biter” according to coach Joel Sup. That makes nine team championships in nine meets this season, including the Mid-State Conference championship.

Albion FFA Alumni are gearing up for the 29th annual Gateway to the Sandhills Bullride to be held Saturday, March 16, at the Niewohner Arena on the fairgrounds. The preview begins at 6:30 p.m.
