Longtime head wrestling coach, Dale Bonge, now retired, was recently inducted into the Nebraska USA Wrestling Circle of Honor as a 2024 candidate for his efforts and service to the sport of wrestling.

Fire, rescue personnel get weekend training here

Volunteer emergency responders received training in areas ranging from search and rescue to sports injuries and mental health during the Mini Fire School hosted by Albion Fire & Rescue last Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9 and 10.

Albion Seniors go 1-2 at State Tourney in Wakefield

The Albion Cornerstone Bank Post 162 Seniors Legion baseball team traveled to Wakefield Saturday August 3rd for the Nebraska American Legion Class C Senior State Tournament. Albion drew the winner of District 1, Crofton for the first game of the tournament.
Albion’s Seniors gave it their all at the Class C State tournament in Wakefield this week - falling just short of the placing rounds.

New concrete completed...

The new concrete at the Petersburg Splash Pad was completed this past week. With just the electrical hookups to be finalized, the construction may soon be completed.The Village Board had previously announced that the new construction/repair deadline was going to be August 15.
