Commissioners to consider paved parking area for Ag & Ed Center

A project for concrete paving of a portion of the parking area at the Boone County Ag & Education Center will be considered by county commissioners at their meeting this Friday, Dec. 27, at 9 a.m.
Business expansion project underway

A major business expansion project is underway at White Star Oil in Albion. Owner Jerry Niewohner said the 1,500 square foot addition to the west side will provide additional kitchen space, meat storage and more customer seating. Completion is anticipated by spring of 2025.
Lady Cardinals hoop team has successful short week

After a challenging second week of the season, the Lady Cardinals girls basketball team (2-2) were faced with a short last week of action before the holiday break. They rebounded well from the adversity of week two by topping Lutheran High Northeast on the road 57-25.
