Loup Power District recognized Hydro Superintendent Brad Morton for 35 years of service to Loup Power District. Morton joined Loup in 1990 as Second Assistant Plant Operator at the Columbus Powerhouse.

Health Care Center to offer hybrid CNA class to all

Boone County Health Center (BCHC) has announced the launch of a Hybrid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Course in collaboration with Central Community College (CCC). This course, previously offered last fall exclusively to Boone Central High School students, is now open to the public.

The Boone Central girls’ basketball team ended the regular season last week with a win and loss. The Cardinals hosted the Centura Centurions (11-10) on Feb 11th and played a tight game all the way to the buzzer, coming away with the narrow victory.

Heithoff named CCO at GPS Bank

The Boone Central Cardinal wrestling team traveled to Malcom Public Schools for this year’s 2025 Nebraska School Activities Association’s Class C, District 1 tournament, qualifying three wrestlers to match the five Lady Cards from last week, all headed to Omaha.
