A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Ronnie Ray Berney, age 71, of Yankton, South Dakota were held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Yankton.

The Albion Post #162 Seniors boys’ baseball team played in three more games since last report, taking some heavy losses on the road and one at home. The team traveled to Creighton to take on the Bulldogs on June 4, falling 2-8; hosted Ord’s Post #38 Seniors on June 6, notching a loss 3-11 and then traveled to O’Neill on June 9 to take on the Irish, suffering a 13-1 loss at the final inning.

Sunday evening Ben and Ashley Thieman removed the dead and dying roses and evergreen ground covering on the east end of the Boulevard. The small plot had been land-scaped many years ago by Kelsey Claar as a Girl Scout project which included a flowering apple tree. The tree has in the past years grown larger making the area very shady. New landscaping is planned.

Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Ann “Meg” Kirkland, 76, of North Platte, was held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Father Sagar served as Celebrant.

Mass of Christian Burial for Henry William Bigge, 92, of Fullerton, were held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton.
