Cardinal team effort leads to team Championship

Body
Exceptional competition often leads to impressive outcomes! The Boone Central Cardinal track teams stared this competition square in the face this past Thursday at the Class C District Track & Field Championships in Albion and proved their worth with an unexpected boys’ team championship, several school records, and an impressively long list of state qualifiers. The Cardinals’ points came in a variety of ways - some with winning marks, but mostly from young competitors who showed incredible grit and determination to scratch and claw for every point they could muster.

Babbling Brook

Body
I’ve had a few fun conversations with my staff this week - with graduation and state golf and state track and a host of the regular news things, we’re absolutely overflowing! Cardinals prepare for districts at Ord Invite

Body
The week between the conference and district meets is always a big coin toss - do we run, jump, and throw a lot this week, or back off and go for quality? Coach Susan Roberts and her staff of coaches opted for the latter, desiring to keep their kids fast and ready for the all important district meet here in Albion on May 14th. Cutting back on events may have “slimmed” the team down a bit, but the Cardinals were still able to show some muscle where it was needed at the Ord Invitational.
