Marc Pelster, journey line technician at Cornhusker Public Power District Albion service center, recently marked his 15-year service anniversary. Pelster was hired as an apprentice line technician on the Columbus construction crew on July 11, 2011.

August 2nd at 10:16 a.m. the Petersburg Fire Department was notified of a grass fire on the Tom Stevenson property approximately three miles west and three south of Petersburg. A spark from a four-wheeler apparently ignited last year’s tall grass which began to spread.
Bareback, bulls, saddle broncs conquered at Roughtstock rodeo

The 3rd Boone County Fair Roughstock Rodeo was held on July 11, and after the dust settled, mutton’ busting, bareback, bullriders and saddle broncs were penned, this year’s winners were named.
