Body The Newman Grove American Legion Post #73 has announced that Micah Cuevas, a junior at Newman Grove High School, will participate in the American Legion Cornhusker Boys’ State Program on June 1-7, 2025, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln downtown campus.

Body The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panther Track and Field teams kicked off their inaugural season at the Concordia University Prairie Division meet on March 21st.

Body The City of Newman Grove will be hosting a well decommissioning open house on Tuesday, April 8 to discuss with any interested parties about well care and removal and a wellhead protection plan.

Body Seventy-eight students from Northeast Nebraska schools competed during the Nebraska Junior Academy of Science’s (NJAS) Northeast Regional Science Fair held March 28 at Wayne State College. Sixteen science projects received invitations to NJAS’s State Science Fair on April 24.

Body The Newman Grove/St. Edward Panther boys basketball team finished up its season in the C2-8 Sub-District tournament this week, falling to the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels.

Body The Newman Grove/St. Edward Lady Panthers finished up their season of play in the D1-6 NSAA Sub-District D1-6 tournament at Nebraska Christian last week.

Body The Newman Grove-St. Edward Panther boys basketball team played in two games since last report, taking on Fullteron on the road and Central Valley at home.

Body The Lady Panthers had two games since last report, with one left on the regular schedule before they start play in the D1-6 Subdistrict Tournament that starts on Feb. 20.

Body Since last report, the Lady Panthers of Newman Grove/St. Edward played four games, picking up four losses, with just two games left in the regular season of play.
