Nebraska’s number of farms and ranches declined during 2023, according to USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The number of farms and ranches in the state, at 44,400, was down 100 farms from 2022.

Lindsay Corporation has made several generous contributions recently to community projects and needs. Accepting the pledge were (l.-r.) Terry Beller, fundraising committee member; Amber Klassen (center) and Ken Kurtenbach (right), LAD directors. Additional recent gifts presented by the Lindsay Corp. executives were the property on which to build the new Lindsay Fire Station (presented to Lindsay Fire District President Alan Bender), and $50,000 toward the purchase of a new community ambulance (presented to Lindsay Rescue Squad Captain Ken Kurtenbach).
