Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN), recently announced its riders voted Petersburg the “Best Community” during the 42nd annual event. The award is a $1,500 scholarship that will be designated to Petersburg students who are or will be attending Nebraska trade schools, colleges or universities.

Petersburg Community Club’s parade float won the Best of Theme first place award at the Boone County Fair Parade Sunday. Boone Central Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members returned last week with hardware from their national conference held in Orlando, Florida. Boone Central’s team of Taylor Beierman, left, and Hannah Krohn earned 10th place in the broadcast journalism competition there.
