Apply for grants through Tree Board

Newman Grove residents are invited to apply for tree grants. Newman Grove Tree Board will again be awarding $100 tree grants to four city residents in 2025 in their annual program.

In remembrance of Lanny Young his wife Jeanne donated this bench that will sit on the south side of the Albion Vet’s Club. Clyde Stuhr of Patriots Landing made the bench that was designed by him and Jeanne.
Middle School orators win Norfolk speech invitational

The Boone Central Middle School Speech Team competed at the Norfolk Junior High Speech Invitational on Friday, April 25th. There were 15 schools and more than 180 entries at the meet.

A new scholarship opportunity for all high school graduates of a Boone County high school will begin this year for the 2025 graduates through the generosity of one man who lived his entire life in the Boone County area.
