Olson Picnic held near Barlett

Body The 91st Annual Olson Picnic was held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Headquarters near Bartlett. This event began in 1934 in Newman Grove, where John and Betsy Olson had settled after coming from Sweden.

FFA officers tour DC Seed...

Body Dallas Choat at DC Seed & Chemical recently hosted the St. Edward FFA Chapter officer team for a tour of the facility and to talk “all things ag.” The FFA also launched their food drive for Heartland United Way, collecting donations through September 8.

Inaugural Arts Fest to be held at Nest downtown

Body On August 9, 2025 the inaugural Nest Arts Fest will be held at The NEST from 3-6 p.m with a talent showcase and some food vendors to follow. The event is being organized by Leialoha Barnes, a rising Sophomore at Boone Central Highschool.
