Farmers planning to use chemigation (fertigation) to apply fertilizer or other chemicals to crops have a deadline of June 1, 2024, for permit renewal from the Lower Loup Natural Resources District. Completed chemigation permit applications must be received by the LLNRD on or before that date.

Newman Grove High School graduates of 2024 were saluted Saturday, May 11, both for their high school achievements and their potential to make a positive difference in the world. Superintendent of Schools Josh Warren said he has witnessed “incredible potential” in the senior class, and he urged them to continue their quest for excellence in their future endeavors.
