The Boone Central Junior Varsity track/field team visited Pierce Tuesday, April 23, to compete in the Bluejays’ annual freshman-sophomore meet. There were many new personal -best performances and improvements entering the final stretch of the 2024 season. It was a great meet with great competition for the younger athletes.

Tuesday, May 7 Boone Central Athletic Complex Teams Competing Blair, Boone Central, Lakeview, O’Neill, Pierce, Schuyler, Scotus Central, South Sioux City, Wayne, West Point-Beemer.

The Boone Central track/field teams traveled to Grand Island for the Northwest Dave Gee Invite on Thursday, April 18th. The meet featured fifteen schools, which made things very competitive and points in short supply. It was the Boone girls team that turned in the better performance this week, finishing in fourth place while the boys finished sixth - only 5 1/2 points from fifth.

Riverside charged into O’Neill April 17 and rode home with the St. Mary’s Invitational boys championship hardware and a bevy of individual medals from both boys and girls competition.

Thursday, April 25: Boone Central Boys Golf at Lakeview Invitational (Quail Run GC-Columbus), 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27: Boone Central Girls & Boys Track/Field Mid-State Conference (Albion), 10 a.m.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and St. Edward participated in a large, tough Palmer Invitational at Fullerton April 18.

The Boone Central junior varsity track/field team traveled to Ord Monday, April 15, for the Chanticleers’ annual 9th/10th grade invitational meet. It was a great event for the younger athletes to gain more experience as they progress in their careers, and to set new marks as they compete with their teammates.

Boone Central golfers continued their spring season April 18, competing in another large, tough tournament on a challenging golf course. The Cardinals shot a team score of 455 to finish 18th in the 20-team field of the Scotus Invitational at Quail Run Golf Course.

The Cardinal track and field teams were back in action April 9 with the Boone Central Invitational. Both teams faced tight competition but persevered, with the girls winning the team championship and the boys narrowly missing the same by a mere four points.

Finally, tee time. The Boone Central Cardinals, after several weeks of weather-plagued meet postponements, began 2024 boys golf competition with a busy week April 8-13.
