The Boone Central girls basketball team took their five-game winning streak North to Norfolk Catholic (8-9) on Jan 29th. The Knights proved no match for the Cardinals as they bulldozed their way to a big win to extend their winning streak to six games.

Boone Central, riding a two-game win streak from last week, took the show on the road as they visited the Summerland Bobcats (7-7). The Bobcats got the first points of the game but that was the last positive thing you could say for the Bobcats in this one as the Cardinals took control from there taking a 14-6 lead into the second and then dominating the second quarter to amass a 40-10 halftime lead.

Boone Central traveled to West Point last Thursday to dance with Class C2 #1 GACC Bluejays (12-1). The Lady Cards were fresh off a tough loss to C1 top 5 O’Neill the week before and the pressure was on to put that loss in the rearview and rise to the occasion against a tough perennial foe.

Junior High Panthers win over Palmer Tigers

The junior high Panthers basketball team started the second full week of January with another home game against the Palmer Tigers. The Panthers picked up a good head of steam in the first quarter, 120, over Palmer, and led 15-6 heading into the halftime break.
