Cardinals pick up second and third at Conference meet

The Mid-State Conference is a force to be reckoned with in any sport! Track and Field is definitely no exception! Teams fight and claw for every point they can earn so that they can hold the sacred piece of plastic that shouts “Conference Champion”!

Brynna Hagemann hands off to Josie Rother in the girls’ 4x400 relay in which they placed 2nd at the Mid State Conference meet. Miss Hagemann had two big personal best to place in both the long jump and 400 meters.

Records tumble at Central Nebraska Track Championships

A windy, chilly evening didn’t deter the select group of Boone Central tracksters from performing at a very high level this past Monday at the Central Nebraska Track Championships at Grand Island Northwest.

Austin Dodds had a career day at the Mid State Conference meet winning both hurdle events along with adding a very impressive anchor leg on the 4x400 relay.

Central Community College awards basketball leaders for season

4x100 relay anchors team effort at Grand Island

Traditionally, the Northwest Dave Gee Invitational in Grand Island is one of the tougher meets in which to compete in Nebraska. But, in the past few years, the meet has been ramped up several degrees to become the toughest meet in Nebraska after the State Meet.

Pictured is the Boone Central girls’ 4x100 relay team which placed 3rd at the Northwest Dave Gee Invitational Track Meet. Their time of 49.23 broke the former school record by a substantial margin. Team members are: Ciara Baker, Reagan Hooker, Addy Hedlund, and Sophie Lyon.

BC Middle School wins Norfolk invite

The Boone Central Middle School Speech Team competed at the Norfolk Junior High Speech Invitational on Friday, April 24th. There were 10 schools, 193 students and 220 entries participating in this event.
