Body The Boone County Ag Society announced via their social media pages last week, Feb. 19, that two musical acts have been booked for Tuesday evening during this year’s Boone County Fair.

Body On Saturday, February 14th, 12 Boone Central 7th and 8th Grade Band and Choir students traveled to the Stanton Junior High Honor Festival. 31 schools and approximately 300 students participated in the event. Students were selected based on nominations by their directors.

Body The Cardinals traveled to Battle Creek on Saturday February 21 to compete in the always challenging Battle Creek Invitational. The Cardinals came home with the Varsity Sweepstakes championship narrowly edging out the host Battle Creek.

Body RedCross Blood Drive Coordinators Kathy Koch and JoAnn Mattner reported a successful Petersburg February blood drive with 37 units donated surpassing their goal of 36 with several milestones set. Donors were down, expected due to illness etc.
