On February 13, 2026, at approximately 8:36 a.m., the Nance County Sheriff’s Office received information that Wade Brandenburger was possibly located inside a camper on the north side of Genoa in Nance County, Nebraska.

On February 13, in the District Court of Boone County, Kobe Roan, 23, was sentenced for the charge of first degree sexual assault of a child, a 1B felony. The victim was reported in court documents to be under 12 years of age.

With the Nebraska School Activities Association’s C-1 District competition down, Boone Central will be sending seven young men to the CHI Center in Omaha this weekend for the state wrestling tournament. The Cardinals picked up secondplace at the District tournament in Madison last weekend, just 1 point shy of the championship team title with 125 team points.
