Teammates celebrates year of mentoring

Body
Boone Central TeamMates celebrated another great year of mentoring by hosting their annual Spring Banquet on Sunday, the 26th, at the Cardinal Inn. The evening was kicked off by a group of middle school students who performed their Oral Interpretation of Drama skit, “Ten Reasons You Should Stay Home from School.” Pastor Keith Brich, a TeamMate mentor himself, led the nearly 200 in attendance in prayer before enjoying a delicious meal catered by Country Mile Catering.

New scoreboard, batting cage put together

Body
The crew from Love Signs of Norfolk removed the old scoreboard at the football field and replaced it with the board recently purchased from Boone Central. The new board will be used for all high school, junior high, and youth football games. (at right) Thank you to Billy Christman, John Fritzges, Chris Tenski and crews for putting up the new batter’s cage in the park. The cage was donated by the St. Edward American Legion Post 226, and will be available to our local youth baseball and softball players. A sign recognizing their generous donation will be added to the cage.
