Kester wins Caring Kind

Body Tami Kester, RN/supervisor, is the 2025 Caring Kind Award Winner of Antelope Memorial Hospital. Tami was recognized for this prestigious award on Tuesday, May 13th during National Hospital Week.

NRCA to travel through town this year

Body The 2025 Nebraska Rod and Custom Association have announced the “traveling car show’s” route for this summer, including a trip up Highway 14 through a number of communities.

Body Fifth and Sixth grade students in their first or second year playing a band instrument received the chance to play in a large band setting while participating in the Nate Metschke Memorial Honor Band on Saturday, May 3rd.

Body Just of short of 250 rides happened this past weekend at the NBHA “Spring Fling” barrel races held in the Niewohner Arena! Additional ride opportunities for the young cowboys and cowgirls were also part of the weekend!

Memorial bench donated...

Body In remembrance of Lanny Young his wife Jeanne donated this bench that will sit on the south side of the Albion Vet’s Club. Clyde Stuhr of Patriots Landing made the bench that was designed by him and Jeanne.

Musicians shine at District Music

Body Members of the Boone Central Band and Choir traveled to Norfolk High School for District Music Contest on Friday, April 25th. Norfolk High School was the host site of 16 schools.

Scouts hold Pinewood Derby

Body The Albion Cub Scout Pack held its annual Pinewood Derby competition this past weekend, with scouts of all ages participating in three groups with winners moving to the grand finals.
Albion’s Cub, Pack and Girl Scout troops had members participate, including an open class.
