On Wednesday evening, April 22nd, the Mid-Nebraska Task Force was requested to deploy for the Pressey Fire in Custer County – including first responders from Albion, St. Edward and around the area.

Following the response to the fire call at the Boone County Courthouse last week, it was reported that it appeared to be an HVAC issue that caused the concern.

Albion Fire and Rescue were called to a possible fire at the Boone County Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters joined Albion Police and the Boone County Sheriff’s office as courthouse patrons, attorneys and employees gathered on the lawn outside to wait for the final clear.

The Boone Central Middle School speech team competed at the Marian Crusader Speech Meet in Omaha on Friday, April 11th. BCMS placed 5th out of 18 teams, amongst 285 total entries across all events.
