The 2023-24 basketball season was a very successful one for the Boone Central boys basketball team ... and a disappointment.

The Ag Appreciation Breakfast was discussed at the Petersburg Community Club meeting held Monday, March 4, 2024. It is to be held at the fire hall from 9 a.m.

Masses in Petersburg, Raeville and Elgin have been recently announced. Petersburg will have mass on Sunday at 8 a.m.

In February, Antelope Memorial Hospital was recognized as a 2024 Top 100 Critical Access Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. Chartis’ annual Top 100 award program recognizes outstanding performance among the nation’s 1,353 rural hospitals.

Boone Central industrial arts students have combined art and Nebraska history with metal working skills for a special project this year. They are involved in the Ken Iverson Project, a sculpture-making project and contest involving area schools in a collaborative effort between various disciplines.

Dave Stoddard, president of the Northeast Nebraska All Star Football Classic Board of Directors, has announced coaches, officials, and player rosters for the 2024 game. Mike Hassler of Wakefield and Cory Valasek of Riverside Schools have been named head coaches for the 11th Red vs.

Cardinal speech team brought home yet another sweepstakes championship from the Battle Creek Braves Classic tournament last Saturday, Feb. 17, at Battle Creek.
