Klein, Schumacher selected for Leadership Conference

Oliva, daughter of Martin and Amy Klein, and Kaitey, daughter of Kevin and Lisa Schumacher, were recently selected to attend the 2024 Nebraska Attorney General’s Youth Conference. They will attend the day-long conference on April 16th with other selected Juniors from across Nebraska.

‘Not Too Far Distant’ performance here Sunday, April 14

A drama that features the World War II experiences of a young Nebraska soldier will be featured in Albion at the Boone Central High School Performing Arts Gym this Sunday, April 14, at 3 p.m. This work by Lincoln playwright Becky Boesen centers around the wartime experiences of Staff Sergeant Clarence Williams of Nebraska as related through his personal letters home.

Warning system to be tested on Friday

On Friday, April 12, 2024 at 10 a.m., the Petersburg Fire Department will be testing the village civil defense outdoor warning system (fire whistle). This signal will be used if a tornado is approaching Petersburg. In the event a tornado was actually approaching, the whistle would sound continually for one minute. No all clear would be sounded.
