Spence carries Cardinal runners to runner-up spot

Body A week after tying the Wayne girls’ team at the Boone Central Invitational, the Boone Central Cross Country ladies were out to prove that that wasn’t a fluke. A move by veteran runner, Johnna Spence made sure that happened at the big Norfolk Catholic Invitational.

Body An unseasonal cool greeted cross country teams from at least 15 schools last Friday morning for the 54th annual Boone Central Invitational. This cool weather brought out the competition in the runners, creating team races that couldn’t have been much closer.
