With the cool fall air moving in and the leaves beginning to turn, the golf season is definitely on the back nine. Last week, the Cardinals had back-toback meets.

The Boone Central Cross Country teams traveled northwest to Atkinson last week to participate in the big West Holt Invitational. This meet featured many of the top rated Class D teams, thus using Class D scoring (the top 3 runners are scored instead of the top 4).

Fresh into a winning record, the Boone Central Cardinals took the show on the road last week as they visited the Centurions of Centura (2-3). The Centurions started out their season similar to the Cardinals with losses in their opening two to solid teams in Wood River and Doniphan Trumbull before two wins brought them back to even.

The Boone Central Lady Cardinals Softball team rounded out their regular season in good fashion with a 15-11 win over Ponca at home, and headed into the District tournament on Monday, Oct. 6.

A blustery but bountiful day for the Girls Golf Team at the NSAA C-2 District Championships at Quail Run. The Cards fired at team score of 400 finishing them in the Runner Up spot, which qualified them for the State Championships next week in North Platte.

Another busy week for the Cardinal golfers as they traveled for two meets last week. On Tuesday Sept 23rd they visited Galaway Creek at Henderson for the Fullerton Invite.

With a slew of injuries and sickness depleting the ranks of healthy runners, the Boone Central Cross Country teams entered the annual Tom Dickey Individual Invitational at the Albion Country Club and still came out successful on the other side!

The Boone Central Lady Cardinals volleyball team saw its regularseason record drop to 10-9 with a 1-2 performance at the Adams Central Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27.
