Lindsay Event center nears completion

Submitted Article After years of planning, community visioning, and steady construction progress, the Lindsay Area Event Center is poised to become one of northeast Nebraska’s premier destinations for public and private events. As construction wraps up on the multi-use facility, organizers have officially opened the calendar for 2026 event bookings, inviting families, businesses, organizations, and individuals to begin planning now for their special occasions.

Olson Picnic held near Barlett

The 91st Annual Olson Picnic was held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Headquarters near Bartlett. This event began in 1934 in Newman Grove, where John and Betsy Olson had settled after coming from Sweden.

FFA officers tour DC Seed...

Housing project taking shape at 7th & State

The Albion Economic Development Corporation updated the community via its social media yesterday about a new housing project that has cropped up in the community. A new “quadplex” is getting close to being completed at the corner of 7th and State in Albion, adding four new 900+ sq.

Inaugural Arts Fest to be held at Nest downtown

On August 9, 2025 the inaugural Nest Arts Fest will be held at The NEST from 3-6 p.m with a talent showcase and some food vendors to follow. The event is being organized by Leialoha Barnes, a rising Sophomore at Boone Central Highschool.

Nelson cousins gather for reunion

Arriving by plane, train and automobile, descendants of John and Anna Nelson, early settlers in the Dennison area of Boone County, met July 18-20 in Albion, Nebraska for their biennial Nelson Cousins’ Reunion.
