New scoreboard, batting cage put together

Body The crew from Love Signs of Norfolk removed the old scoreboard at the football field and replaced it with the board recently purchased from Boone Central. The new board will be used for all high school, junior high, and youth football games.

Walking trail, park nears goal

Body The City of Albion and the Albion Economic Development Corporation, with the City of Albion, released online this week that the walking trail and park renovation project fundraising goal has nearly been met.

Venue on 4th opens season

Body The Albion Economic Development Corporation and a host of local vendors kicked off the season in downtown Albion with a Cinco De Mayo celebration at the Venue on 4th last week.

Blood drive meets goal

Body At the April 27th Petersburg Red Cross blood Drive 41 units were collected with a goal of 42. This drive was a community celebration honoring Father Frank Baumert as he approaches the remarkable milestone of 600 units of blood products donated, saving many lives.

Cornerstone donates three-point proceeds

Body Steven Ruzek, VP & Manager of Cornerstone Bank in Albion, recently presented a $792 donation to the Boone Central Cardinals boys and girls varsity basketball teams as part of Cornerstone Bank’s “$3 for 3” program.
