Members of the Boone Antelope County (ABC) Club met in 123 Main for the July meeting. Four members of the organization helped with BRAN activities which they reported went well.

Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN), recently announced its riders voted Petersburg the “Best Community” during the 42nd annual event. The award is a $1,500 scholarship that will be designated to Petersburg students who are or will be attending Nebraska trade schools, colleges or universities.
Your newspaper, The Petersburg Press, needs more weekly subscribers to maintain its status as a legal newspaper in Nebraska. State law requires newspapers to have a total circulation of at least 300 copies per week to serve as official newspapers for publication of official public notices for government entities.
Two box culvert replacement projects on Boone County roads were given the green light by county commissioners at their meeting last Wednesday, June 26. The county board accepted the bid of A & R Construction, Plainview, for the Petersburg Southwest project on 160th Street and the Albion North projet on a portion of 120th Avenue.
In just a few days, the 2024 Boone County Fair will open with country music and entertainment events for the whole family. The 140th annual fair leads off Saturday, July 6, with top country music entertainment in front of the grandstand featuring the Eli Young Band with special guest Walker Montgomery.
