Fun story this week about an Albion native who just recorded and released a vinyl album. I have a number of vinyl albums - I’m kind of a hoarder of ..well...everything, but I don’t have a record player, so I have to work on that.

I have to tell you, folks, it’s been a heck of a doubledecade. I was too lazy to look up what 20 years is, so I’m going with double-decade.

I’ve always been a bit of a sucker for “pop culture.” I like pop music, I enjoy trying new candy and soda, I’ll buy the weird chips just to try them out I don’t know if it’s “live in the moment” or if it’s just “too lazy to appreciate anything,” but I really do enjoy “pop” stuff. It’s no secret that the last number of years have been dominated by “pumpkin spice” and while I definitely enjoy a pumpkin now and again, it’s not exactly on the top of my list for anything.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I don’t mind paying for quality things. That lends itself directly to tax season as well.

I’ve always been a soup guy. I don’t really know why, I suppose it’s because I think of food as a vehicle for different flavors, and soup seems...efficient.

I’ve always loved Superman, he’s my favorite super hero by a large margin. Not just for all the things that make Superman great, but because he tries to do what’s right.

I’ve always been a big fan of “you get what you pay for” - or at least you certainly should. I don’t like buying garbage, I hate buying plastic things from overseas, but unfortunately, that appears to be what our throw-away society really loves.

This job has always pro- vided me a lot of "firsts." It's my "first" attempt at a career, so I learned a lot in the first few years - mainly by baptism by fire, but I got through it and think it came out..mostly... alright.
