CASA Connection or Court Appointed Special Advocates Connection has been approved to extend its reach into Boone County. CASA Connection’s goal is to recruit, screen, train, and supervise volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children who have been placed into the foster care system.

The Newman Grove Red Cross blood drive was held on June 15, 2026, at Fellowship Bible Church. There were 56 donors collecting 61 units of blood with a goal of 54.
