Newman Grove Lions host District Governor

The Newman Grove Lions Club hosted some special guests at its March 11 meeting. Despite an early morning snowstorm, District Governor Karen Jackson, from Tekamah, made her official visit to the club.
District Governor Karen Jackson presented a chevron denoting 10 years of service to Newman Grove Lion Tom Temme during the club’s March 11 meeting. Also taking part in the presentation was club president Randy Benson. Governor Jackson also recognized Dennis McCloud, who could not attend the meeting, for 40 years as a Lion. 12th annual bowling battle held

Work is underway Monday morning to install new concrete on the half block of street on the East end of the business district in Newman Grove as it comes to Highway 45. .

Chilson awarded for 50 year membership...

On Tuesday, March 3, the Newman Grove American Legion Commander Ivan Herchenbach presented Duane Chilson with his 50 year Golden Certificate and pin. Chilson served in the Special Forces for three years in Vietnam, he was discharged as a Sergeant.

Blood Drive meets goal at 55

The Newman Grove Red Cross blood drive was held on March 2, 2026, at Fellowship Bible Church. We had 55 donors collecting 55 units of blood with a goal of 55.

Foundation adds $52,000 to fund

Body
Through the generous contributions of Newman Grove residents and supporters, $52,000 was added to the Newman Grove Foundation Fund unrestricted endowment during the Fall Fund-raiser campaign. The NGFF was started nearly 20 years ago with the purpose of providing perpetual support to a variety of local activities.
